Dan Aykroyd was the only original SNL cast member to read the script. They enter the frame with 39 seconds late through the doors as the show goes live.
Door: All night?Lorne Michaels: [sarcastically] Yes, all night
Lorne Michaels: Look, my name is Lorne Michaels, and I’m a producer on Saturday Night Live. The film opens with a quote from Lorne Michaels: "The show doesn’t end because it’s ready, it goes on because it’s 11:30.& #39; Featured in Eddie Murphy, Hollywood’s le roi noir (2023).
I enjoyed Saturday night, but not as much as I had hoped
Ixoo “Chickenweed” Chawz Written by Don Sento and Martin Garner – Don Sento and Martin Garner. It was a bit repetitive that Lorne Michaels’ show had a lot of problems.
It’s mostly good laughs, but almost always claustrophobic on the soundstage, with some outdoor scenes
All the main characters/actors we watched had good laughs and convincing performances, but the last 2 hours before the first episode of the show could have been a little more. I would love to know where Lorne Michaels got the idea for Saturday Night Live and what he has produced before.
